A couple of months ago I photographed Eggs Pontchartrain at Cafe Rue Orelans in Fayetteville for a magazine editorial on brunch in Northwest Arkansas. I had so much fun talking with Chef Maude and swapping stories about Ghazi, the man who sold them the space/equipment when they started the restaurant. I worked for Ghazi a million years ago when I waited tables at the Pesto Cafe. What a character, what a life experience!
I’ve now lived in Fayetteville longer than any other place (19 years), and call it home. I love this place, and love when a photo shoot allows me to spend time swapping stories with another “local.” Maude was so welcoming and reminded me that they serve $.99 mimosas on Sunday’s… need I say more?
