This summer I had the chance to work again with Maria Fassi and Tzu Tzu Sport, photographing her newest apparel collaboration on the course of Blessings Golf Club. We spent the day capturing their new apparel in real moments and real movement, focusing on images that felt true to Maria and true to the brand. It ended up being one of those projects where everything just clicked—good weather, good company, and a chance to create images that feel genuine.

We spent a warm, sunny morning wandering the course, stopping whenever the light felt right. A couple of years ago, we did this same shoot in cold drizzle and low clouds, so this year’s sunshine felt especially welcome. Everything moved a little easier because of it.
Maria is always up for anything, which makes working with her a lot of fun. At one point, she tried out the viral “laugh and hop” that’s supposed to create the perfect candid. I’ll be honest—it didn’t work, but it did give us a good laugh. She’s also the only person I fully trust when she says she won’t hit me while sending a golf ball over my head as I’m lying on the ground looking for the right angle.
As we moved through six different outfits, we talked a lot about what she naturally does on the course—how she warms up, how she moves, how she focuses—so the images felt less like a photoshoot and more like moments pulled from a tournament day. That’s always the goal. When branding images feel natural, they give people a better sense of how a product fits into real life.
This is a shoot I look forward to every year. Working with Maria and the Tzu Tzu team has become one of those projects that feels familiar in the best way. I’m always grateful for access to a beautiful course, a team that trusts the process, and the chance to make images that feel honest, easy, and true to the people in them.

If you’re ever looking to photograph products in a way that feels natural and lived-in, I’d love to help tell that story.
