Celebrating Fall: Scenic Shots from Devil’s Den and Autumn Still Lifes
To celebrate the first day of fall, I wanted to share a few photos that capture the essence of this beautiful season. The first three images were taken at Devil’s Den State Park, where I stumbled upon a unique moment: a leaf suspended in a spider’s web. The web is almost invisible, making it seem like the leaf is floating mid-air, as if caught in a moment of fall’s magic. It’s one of those little surprises that makes hiking so rewarding.
The last couple of images feature a fall still life I created with “horse apples” from a Bois-d’arc tree, pumpkins, and colorful autumn leaves. The vibrant colors and textures of the season always inspire me to set up these kinds of compositions.
Enjoy the fall season, and I hope these photos bring a touch of autumn beauty to your day!
