Featured in Southern Living: Our Biking Adventure at Devil’s Den State Park Makes the September Issue
Exciting news! Hap and I are thrilled to share that we’ve been featured in the September issue of Southern Living magazine. It’s been a long wait, but it’s been worth it. This all started last fall when our good friend, Tim, who happens to be a park ranger, invited us to take a biking trip through one of our favorite parks. The best part? He mentioned that a Southern Living photographer was coming out to shoot the park that day, and we couldn’t pass up the chance to be part of something special.
The ride itself was an absolute blast—crisp fall air, stunning scenery, and of course, great company. We spent the day enjoying the park’s natural beauty, never knowing if we’d end up in the final photos. Fast forward a year, and we finally got the news: WE MADE THE CUT! Hap and I are officially in the magazine! You can find us in the September issue of Southern Living, and if you happen to be in line at the grocery store, be sure to flip to page 48 and check us out.
As a photographer myself, I’m always on the other side of the lens, so it’s a fun change of pace to be featured in such a well-known publication. The photos in Southern Living always beautifully capture the essence of Southern life, from stunning landscapes to vibrant communities, and it’s an honor to be a small part of that.
Seeing ourselves in print was such a surreal moment, and it’s a reminder of how special those simple, spontaneous adventures can become. You never know what kind of memories or opportunities can come from spending a day outside with friends. Whether you’re an avid biker or someone who simply loves exploring nature, parks like the one we visited offer endless opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. And hey, maybe you’ll even end up in a magazine like we did!
So next time you’re at the store, grab a copy of Southern Living and take a look. We’re proud to be part of the September issue, and we hope you enjoy the beautiful photography and stories just as much as we do.
