Editorial Photography for At Home in Arkansas

Last summer I shot a few places around Northwest Arkansas for an editorial feature in At Home in Arkansas. I absolutely love shooting editorial content because I feel like I can just have fun and be creative. I visited a couple of boutiques, an ice cream shop, a coffee house and a local brewery. Here are the images I came up with…

Dandy Roll Antique Maps and Prints is a boutique store specializing in antique maps and prints… and other cool stuff. It’s located in downtown Rogers in a super cool space that I wish I could take over for my studio. The store owners are wonderful people, they have two super furry employees and they have some really neat gift ideas. The succulent station is probably one of the best ideas for a quick, hand-made gift. This store is a great place to stop in when you can’t figure out what to get someone for a special occasion.

Pure Joy Ice Cream makes naturally crafted ice cream and sorbet, and is located in downtown Siloam Springs, Ark. I really enjoyed the vibe of the store, and especially enjoyed the local, fresh ingredients and creative ideas for flavors. Don’t be afraid to try the black lemonade ice cream… it’s delish.

Ozark Beer Company is another great space in downtown Rogers, Ark. I stopped by on a Friday afternoon, and there was a good crowd gathered at the long, pub-style tables. Pair a flight of beer with a flight of sliders from Tyler’s Craft BBQ (located in the food truck parked outside) and you’re in for a fun Friday night.

Marley Mack Boutique, named for the shop owners’ dogs, is a newer shop located in uptown Fayetteville. It’s full of cute clothes and fun accessories. This is also a great stop for a gift for a stylish friend.

Puritan Coffee and Beer is located right next door to Marley Mack Boutique. In fact, you don’t even have to step outside to change locations, the stores are connected. This is a fun location that’s a great local hang out whether you are a morning or evening person since they serve both coffee and beer! I had a tea/lemonade mix while I was there and it was pretty tasty.
