Tyson Invitational Track – Sports Photographer

Here are a few picts from the Tyson Invitational. I always enjoy shooting track because I’m fascinated by the athlete’s muscles… especially the pole vaulters! I usually suck at shooting the pole vault competition, but I had a little bit of luck tonight. Must be the 300mm!

Adam Nelson’s throw of 73 feet 6 inches set a world record this year and was the third longest indoor throw of all-time. I’d say he was a little excited about it!

beats my pole vaulting stuff. my lights were up on the catwalk in the usual spot so the competitors were lit from the other direction…of course this was on Saturday. how come you weren’t there then? AP doesn’t care about the college kids huh?
